Is cellular phone without the chip danger ?

Hi,
As an old fashion, and because of the huge amount of rumors spread out about the waves that the cellular phone, I'm trying to avoid being close to it as much as i can. But i was enforced to use it these days as an alarm to wake me up.

my important question is ( although it may seem silly for somebody here): I'm using the cellular phone without SIM or GSM chip. Is it still trans/ceiving the same amount of signal or not.

See if your phone has "Airplane Mode", this mode is supposed to disable all transmitters to make the phone "safe" for air travel.

this facility will be active even if the phone has no chip ?
