Do you agree that this wire has been crimped incorrectly with a JST-XH crimp?
..at 3:07 you can see he didnt crimp the end of the insulation of the wire....so his crimping lacks strain relief, and is more likely to see his wire snap at the crimp?

I don't see that he's not crimping the insulation. The proper tool will crimp both the insulation and the conductor at the same time. What's important is to strip the wire back the appropriate length, and then to insert the wire into the terminal the proper distance.
It is likely stripped to reveal too much bare wire. But, the video is so poor and lacking closeup views that only an expert will notice. Typical of a hack video - only experts notice the error and not enough detail to help a rookie.
