MOSFET Flywheel Diodes

Hi,

I am intending to build a MOSFET H-bridge to drive a stepper motor. Very likely that IRF640s' will be used. Like most MOSFETS these have an integral diode. Do these internal diodes negate the need for external flywheel diodes? The current rating of the diode seems adequate as is the recovery time.

If the diode rating is adequate then it should work fine as the flywheel diode.
