need advice

im interesting in making dtmf projects...i have done home automation but now im planing to building a drilling machine which take the amount of distance to drill from the mobile through dtmf and then after starting it ..it drills until the required amount.....wat do u guys say...?

or give me some advice for industrial automation using dtmf???

DTMF = dual tone multi-frequency;
A signalling standard used in telephony (ITU-T Recommendation Q.23). DTMF is also a popular signalling method for simple control functions over other voice-band circuits such as for repeater control in land mobile radio, for example.
