Need financial assistance to build drone inverters.

Hi,
We need financial assistance in setting up a workshop to build drones. We are Power Electronics Engineers.
Please do you know where i can get this financial assistance?

Specially we need to build the three phase BLDC inverters for the drone motors as these are not readily available in UK/EU/Australia/USA.

We can build the whole drone.
Some of the drones will be carriers, some will be surveillance, and some will be "group drones" which line up in the air to spread an RF signal to other drones so that this signal
is not obliterated by RF jamming devices.

Yeah. They are called venture capitalists. They invest in startup companies. First you have to have a business plan. Do you have one of those? The business plan is what they require to make an investment and exit the business after a fixed time. They normally expect to make 10 times the money they put in. Are you ready to swallow hard and take that risk? If you fail them, you get pushed out and you lose the company.

OTOH if you are unwilling to take that risk the alternative is to "build a few – sell a few". It is far less risky to do this, and you'll reach a point where you can easily decide to expand or close it down without losing everything. The choice is yours. How big are your cojones?

Running down these leads should keep you pounding the streets for a while. Good luck boys!

Where is your business located? Try to get a business loan from a bank or try a "crowd funding for business" platform.

Before you approach a bank or lending institution of any type make sure you can present a good business model. Call it a "business model" or "business plan" but it better be well thought out and clearly demonstrate a turn around on investment.

More importantly, if you slap one together over a weekend it will be painfully obvious to the moneymen and their advisors. Remember, they are pros at this, and YOU ARE NOT.

That sounds like an exciting project! For financial assistance, you might want to look into grants or funding opportunities specifically for tech innovations or aerospace projects. There are often government and private grants available for high-tech development. You could also reach out to investors interested in cutting-edge technology or join relevant industry networks that might offer funding opportunities.

I had a similar situation when I was exploring new tech ventures and found https://skin.land/market/ to be a useful resource for understanding market dynamics. It’s not directly related, but it helped me learn about resource management and market needs, which could be useful for your project.

Common speed controllers (ESC) are super cheap online and both hardware and software are open source.

The critical part in drones is to use standard parts and ... above all: Crash, faster and more often.
The assumptions you have are wrong. Crash, evaluate, build a new version. Repeat this as quickly as possible.
Version 10 - 20 is probably really good.

Building models in scale (so that it fits with standard parts), to make the construction go fast. Crash faster.
You don't know anything until you've crashed several times. You have lots of "unknowns" you don't know, that you don't know about.

If you're building a drone that looks nice, you're doing it wrong.

If it looks like crap with lots of cable ties, hot melt glue and ducktape and "parts that have seen a crash or two" then you are on the right track.
