Permanently disable Asus service on Windows

I want to permanently disable the "Asus Optimization" service on my Windows 11 but after disabling this service, it automatically starts after some time.

The same thing happens with windows update service as well.

How do I prevent the service from starting automatically?

After you select "disable" and ok, you need to repeat it. Once disabled, this second time the options will be stop or start. Select "stop" and it won't run at the next startup. Unfortunately, this may also kill Asus specific features like
- hibernate with lid down for extended periods
- automatic screen savers that prevent static images from burning into the OLED display
- back-lit display *** (most important to me)

I tried all that but it restarts after a few days.

linux , ( sorry but windows controls you not you it. )
Sometimes Windows makes life super easy for routine tasks. Sometimes windows makes things super difficult for less common tasks.

I hate all the junk that manufacturers add into their PCs to make our life's "easier" ( which means they track/trace everything we do a report back for targeted advertising.

Try installing the free versions of CCleaner.

In the Tools section, then the Startup > Windows tab, you can select services and disable them.

Also check under the scheduled tasks tab, in case there are extra entries - disable those as well.

I tried disabling the tasks on task scheduler too but the services activates again.
