Look for AC line filter. They are basicaly a simple inline multi stage LC tank of sorts.

I searched also under that name and found no design or schematic.
Maybe you could refer me to one?
I wanna know how to build such filter and to test it in the lab on the TV i was trying to correct its power factor unsuccessfully so far.

Firstly have you looked at the current waveform drawn by the TV using an oscilloscope?

Note that you must use either a current transformer or hall effect for this unless you run the TV from an isolation transformer.
