Hi folks, was given this receiver for nothing as my mate went and bought another one but it has a problem in that it wont power on (bummer) When it does briefly at the start can hear a fan kick in and on screen says 'overheat' and then switches off and MCACC PRO flashes blue on screen. Checked on other forums saying potential problem with speaker wires etc, looking at binding posts directly the surround left and back surround left post are not as shiny as the others. Anyone any simlar problems with this type of reciever and if my thinking is on the right tracks? Just trying to get a wee project to do something with this lockdown lol Cheers! Missed the overheat pic as went too fast

flashing MCACC light means you have a shorted amplifier channel. since this is one of their Class D (using Bang&Olafsen ICE amp chipsets), this isn't an "wee project"... Pioneer does not sell discrete parts for this receiver, they only sell the amplifier board. and you have probably already noticed the amp is buried under EVERYTHING else... this is not a simple disassembly job either.

Thanks, I managed to get another of the same receivers that was broken also but it had a damaged front display so when it gets delivered hope to swap over the working parts and get a working receiver out of it
