Hi guyz ,
I am studying in my final year of Electronics engineering and as per the curriculum of final year we have to design an hardware project(only preferred) within one year related to our field of study and to be submitted as part of the final year exam.Please suggest good major projects related to communication or controller which can be completed within an one year time only.Please help.

Does it have to be strictly related to communications or controllers or can you build, say for example, a robot? I personally think that a robot would be a good project. Involves both hardware and software. Or would this kind of a project be an overkill?

Communication and control:

Automotive electrical system, control the lights for example using command signals sent along the same wire that supplys the power.

Traffic sensors and control (stop/go) lights

Remote alarm sensors (using infra red or siesmic waves) to detect persons or vehicles (posibble miltary application)

Remote control cameras (cctv)
