hi all, i am looking into designing an alcohol breathe tester, i hav three weeks and three people to achieve the task. all i require is a point in the direction of any helpfull design info on the net. any help and advice will be greatly recieved. Cheers Will...

Fairly obviously your main task is finding and obtaining a sensor, then you can design a circuit to incorporate it.

As with any quest, I suggest you try using a search engine like google which provides lots of relevent sites. However, from the low prices of ready built testers I suspect your project is not going to be very cost effective!.

Check out the latest edition of siliconchip magazine as it's got a project on a breath tester. It could be just what your looking for.
