Repair GymBoss MiniMax

Hello,

I know nothing about electronics, but I was compelled to open up my broken GymBoss MiniMax and have a look inside and I’m wondering if anyone could give me some pointers about how to repair it/if it’s possible to repair. I’ve never done anything like this before, but I figured giving something like this ago, recycling instead of throwing away is a compelling motivator. This, a fun relevant little project, could be the start of a whole beautiful new hobby..

Potentially relevant information: it fell in water a few weeks ago. Had no effect. I changed the battery after several years, and after 2 uses with the new battery, it gave up the ghost. (Yes, lol, I tried multiple new batteries.) interestingly, when I connect the battery in the other way round, the metal thing on the left starts spinning. The setting for the copper coil on the right is broken.

Very sorry in advance if this is the wrong place/forum to post such a question; if so, will delete! (I’m completely new to/lost in this subject/topic..). Otherwise, thank you for reading/your consideration!

First thorough visual exam with magnification then cleaning with a gental toothbrush and isopropal alcohol (corrosion between terminals can cause failure). next is to get the numbers from the top of broken inductor(coil L1,, generally these are used as filters for DC current and a break will prevent supply voltage from reaching the next device in line.) then determine if the copper wires are still connected to their respective pads. Look on youtube for info on zebra connectors (screen to circuit board) Good Luck.
