Fuses in the plugs, not 'that' much of an issue - as far as I'm aware it's mainly the UK that have fused plugs and ring mains?. But sockets in bathrooms - a BIG no-no over hereTo open another can of worms, here in Aus there are sockets in the bathrooms. And, no fuses in plugs.

India uses the old UK round pin 5A type.Interestingly, one of the very old UK plugs, the 15A round pin type, is still used today in South Africa.
Any idea where I can find that standard?the electrical wiring standard here in Oz says that electrical wiring needs to be done by a 'competent person' with absolutely no mention of being licensed.
Correct. It wasn't that long ago that it was finally banned. I bought a Sony camcorder that needed a plug wiring onto it's charger. It was probably a video8 one, about 1990.Didn't the UK used to sell appliances with no cords – that was left up to the buyer?
