Seeking Feedback on ARPower: MOSFET Loss Calculation Website

Hi Everyone,

I’ve recently launched a website, ARPower, aimed at simplifying the process of calculating MOSFET losses for power electronic applications. As many of you may know, selecting the right semiconductor switch can be a daunting task that often takes weeks of effort. Between sifting through countless datasheets, evaluating multiple parameters, and testing them for your specific application, the process is far from straightforward.

Current Features:

  • MOSFET Loss Calculation: The tool currently supports 3-phase 2-level inverter topology, allowing users to upload datasheets and perform loss calculations quickly.
  • Custom Datasheet Uploads: At this stage, you can upload the datasheet of the MOSFET you’re considering for precise and application-specific calculations.
Future Roadmap:

  1. Comprehensive Semiconductor Database:
We’re planning to integrate a database of various semiconductor switches, including:
    • IGBTs, Si MOSFETs, GaN, and SiC devices.
    • This will allow cross-technology comparisons to help you make more informed decisions.
  2. Expanded Topology Support:
While it’s limited to 3-phase 2-level inverters right now, I aim to add other topologies like multilevel inverters, DC-DC converters, and more.
Request for Feedback:
I would greatly appreciate your genuine feedback and suggestions for improvement.

  • Does the current tool solve any challenges you face in semiconductor selection?
  • What additional features or functionalities would you like to see?
  • Is the datasheet upload process intuitive?
  • Are there any specific issues or bugs you’ve encountered?
Your feedback is invaluable and will help shape ARPower into a robust tool that saves time and effort for the entire community.

Thank you in advance for taking the time to check out the website and share your thoughts. I’m looking forward to hearing your suggestions!
