I only work with through hole components and yes the DIP8 are correct. I use perforated boards with copper dots on one side like the one depicted below

In Pcbnew. Place the cursor "cross hair" on top of a footprint.

Hit "E" for edit. under Footprint Properties... Select "3D Setting" Browse to you 3D part and select

OK, I played a bit with the X-Offset with 0.3" and voila the piece is where it should be

x and y offset is how you finesse it when needed.

Psst! Put bypass caps on your OP-Amps. 2 components per OP amp in your case with the +-supply. Usually 0.1 uF ceramic capacitors close to the power leads to the OP amps. Take a look here: https://www.itead.cc/open-pcb/pcb-prototyping.html for a suggested vendor for making your PCBs.
