an easy way would be to replace the switch with a two way switch, so one way turnes on the normal light, the other a IR light....simple

If your employees question it just say its for night time security.

on the other hand you could sack the person watching the TV monitor and hire a person to help out in the office...

A good prank would be to wire a cheap MP3 player to a timer and dark activated switch. The sound would be knocking at the door, every 5-10 minutes when the lights are turned off. The employee wouldn't know what to do...

Ah,justDIY you have illegals working on the heavily subisdised farms, the real cost of producing the food isn't what's on the supermarket shelf. So the taxpayer is supporting the workers to boost the votes for??? so maybe it's the farmers who are to blame, all that money could be better spent supporting productive jobs, any farmer who can't survive without massive subsidy, shouldn't? Or is it the politicans who are buying the votes who are to blame. As for sleeping on the job, one of the companies here that was voted one of the top 10 to work for has sleep pods, simply so the workers can nap.

May be you should try non-technological means to solve this, it would cost less and effectively boost employ confidence and delivery from them.
Try using Performance contracts and offer incentives to the entire work force. Understand the employs, cause of the problem and introduce time/half hourly/hourly updates which will ensure performance through each minute of the hour.
It only causes an in balance to spy on employs and loss of lots of confidence thus hampering delivery.
