First thing you should learn is to type without the caps lock on. It's obnoxions. Second, if you want to projects, start with very simple ones that illustrate basic electronis principles. It's amazing how much you can learn from, say a simple LED flasher basied on the mature 555 chip. That will teach you more about electronics than any class you take. From there, you can build and test sequencer circuits and microcontroller based projects. Leaning microcontrollers will be essential, but don't blow off electronic based projects, because you'll learn essential principles from them.
