Ok i have a little project and wanted to know since i ordered some 74LS244's can i use

2x CD74HC125 - "High-Speed CMOS Logic Quad Buffer, Three-State"

To Replace

1x 74LS244 "OCTAL BUFFER/LINE DRIVER WITH 3-STATE OUTPUTS"

?

as a temp solution since its all on a breadboard right now anyway.

Yes.

Just keep in mind the 'HC125s can't do nearly the same output current as the 'LS244 (as they're line drivers), and that you may need some pullups (3.3k) on the inputs to the 'HC125s if driven by TTL. I assume you're running both at 5V.
