She was terrified beyond reason through a large part of the film and still soldiered on, that is manly. Looking good in skivvies is just a bonus

I'm not much into the fire fighting thing (our local department gets way too much funding for fluff) I'd rather see a more basic firehouse instead of the primly decorated one we have, more money for equipment and training to actually do something useful, but I've always been a minimalst kind of guy.

Sorry for the rant, that being said Backdraft is definitly one of my favorite movies.

There were a lot of inaccuracies firefighting wise in Backdraft, like improper PPE, melting SCBA's, and the lack of using the SCBA, but it was still a good guy flick. I enjoyed Ladder 49 better as it showed the tight knit family unit in a firehouse. That is one of things I find most enjoyable of working fire is the tight knit club. Sorta like when I was in the military.
