using ltspice IV where do I find pot resistors(variable resistors)?

LTSpice doesn't have pot resistors. You can manually change the resistor value between simulations. Or, you can search the help files for param or step param Or you can post your design with fixed value resistors, and I'll show you how to convert them to paramertized models.
