I'm normally pretty good at getting hard to find parts but this one has me stumped. even my contacts who specialise in this sort of thing haven't a clue.

I thought you said you're contacted Toko who didn't recognise it?.
Have you ever heard of 'in-house' numbers - where a manufacturer orders items from someone else (like Toko) and has their own part numbers provided for it. This could be the case, so Toko can't identify it, as it's not their part number.
No i've contacted them but not had a reply yet. It is a Toko part although i cant be sure its current and not obsolete. BEC are looking into it for me as they are a Toko distributor.
If they cant hep me well its back to the techy guys at our end, as i'm just a lowly purchasing and procurement guy.

Certainly looking that way 'Doh!' thing is we have to get them, but like i've argued if no one has them and no one can get hold of them what do you do?
I'm sure someone will have a few gathering dust in a corner but i've yet to find them.
Thanks for your suggestions, i'll keep plodding on.

Looks like it's intended for a receiver, so has notches at 19KHz and 38KHz - for a modulator presumably a far better active low-pass filter would be fine?.
