Are you looking to receive aircraft signals?

This superregen circuit will work perfectly: https://jbgizmo.com/page23.html

In this article it is used as a tracking receiver, but it works just fine as a radio receiver.

You shouldn't use a superregen for listening to aircraft band!, it will cause interference to the aircraft! - if you want to listen to aircraft band you should use a superhet.

Ramsey Electronics, among other suppliers, makes a kit for the aircraft band. Several editions of the ARRL Radio Amateur's Handbook have such a receiver described though what's decribed may be super-regen so the cautions offered by Nigel might apply.
