Ugg. Replaced the board and now the brake is getting voltage...yea!...but it's giving far too much resistance and is not controllable.
I see two options, after visually re-checking the display control board for obvious pooched components:
1) Replacing the components that I've tested as good, in case they're not working entirely correctly
2) Punting and just using a variable DC supply to the brake.
