Using 220v transformer on 120v

I recently purchased a Hakko FD888dx soldering station but mistakenly ordered 220V rather than a 120V station. To return it is too costly. I'd like to make it work.

The fuse circuit has options for different connections. (220v or 100/230v or 100/120/240v) Any suggestions on how this might be rewired to work on 120V?

Would the transformer need to be changed out?
Can it run on 120V as is?
Can connections be soldered to different locations?

Any advice on this would be appreciated.

It looks like only a single primary winding, either replace the transformer, or use a 220/120V auto-transformer to feed the existing transformer.

One of those small travel transformers used to convert 120V to 220V should work, if you pick one that is rated for slightly more power than your soldering station.

Thanks all. I'll check in with Hakko. If not there I can find a transformer somewhere else.

It's rated for 220V 70W. I imagine this could be replaced by a 120V 70W single primary winding transformer.
