Want to create a simple light measuring LED - New to electronics

Hey,

I'm pretty new to electronics. I just learned about resistors, voltage etc. and I want to try something which I think is easily feasible. So, I just want to combine a battery, LDR and a LED to make a circuit that shows me the light intensity, ofcourse with a screen inbetween.

So how would I do this?
