I am just trying to get my head around CD4046 and googled for what it does and why. My objective is to learn as I am building my Arbitrary Function Generator using this **broken link removed**
and since I am going to use 12V battery as Vdd I am looking at Fig 16 in the last page "VCO frequency as a function of R1". What does the vertical axis represent? and is the frequency vs. Voltage at pin 9 linear? i.e.
as I increase Pin 9 from zero to 12v, VCO out pin #4 frequency increases linearly?
