Crystal radio from ignition coil.

Look at my contraption. It's supposed to be a self-powered active crystal radio.

There's no audio. Your speaker won't do a lot with a 680kHz drive.
 
Sorry, but that is not going to work for multiple reasons. Among other things, neither transistor has proper bias and a diode connected directly to a cap cannot do anything useful.

If you are using batteries anyway, why not build a conventional radio? There are thousands of good, practical designs around.
 
Please write down your theory of operation of the circuit and share it with us.
