describe a circuit

In one of my class, I have to build a power suppy, and one of the things I have to do after is to describe the circuit used. What shoul this summary consist of when describibg a circuit. Help me pleaseeeee

Before you can build the power supply you have to design it, before you can design it you have to describe it - to do that you will need to start by making a statement of what you have and what you need. I'd start with a picture that I'd draw myself with a square in the center that will represent the power supply. Next would be to describe what would go into the 'box' or power supply then what you'd expect to come out.
