Hi, Im kind new here have been lurking for a while .... I have a project to do where i need t have a sensor detect movement and then send wirelessly a signal back to something alerting the activity. Any suggestions on what type of sensor to use or how i could do this?

Thanks

 Hi there, I am a student studying electronics at degree level.

The best method that I can think of for movement detection is the use of a PIR sensor (Passive InfraRed).

could i then recieve a signal to say a led or buzzer with a reciever? or do they sell a kit of some sorts.

you can do it by using IR Tx and TX or with laser and can send signal by using DTMF, TP5089 is DTMF decoder and TP8870is DTMF Encoder if you like to know more information about it the send me mail i'll reply back to you the material information..

hi
