Even worse, as with many people, I'm not allowed grapefruit juice - as it causes medication problems

Not that I've ever had grapefruit anyway.

I must be well behind the 8-ball - hate grapefruit and they've changed the potato crisps/chips to low salt and completely ruined the taste (more like bland cardboard now) - wish they would bring back the little blue twisted paper salt packets.

Your wife is lying to you. The full salt chips still exist. She's just trying to keep you alive. Don't ask her why she's trying to keep you alive - she might think about it and change her mind.

PS: If you see fully salted chips in your pantry - you'll know she changed her mind.

'Still' is a little misleading, they disappeared for years, and then were re-introduced as a nostalgia item - rather like the re-introduction of vinyl
