HA12A, HA12D ics available in chennai, india?

hello guys,

i read about these ics(HA12A & HA12D) in the following web page:http://www.rentron.com/Fire-Stick-III.htm. These ics are used in infrared and rf circuits.
i am planning to build an ir receiver and transmitter as given in the above web site.
So i want to know if these ics are available in chennai, india.
the manufacturer is holtec i suppose.
if not available plz suggest any other ics available in chennai having the same functionality. it would be great if u could also suggest any websites that explain the connections,etc for the suggested ic.

Ok, I guess you could try out Mercy Electronics...spread in Chennai. I know ONE of their branches at Vadapalani. Go straight from the bus-stop, in the road which goes AWAY from Cebros. You should see Mercy Electronics to the LEFT of the road. I dont know the exact location though.

If you build one, could you send me one of that?? I am hoping to build a transmitter and receiver to reduce telephone costs! lol!
