HDC3020 and HDC3020 Humidity Sensors

I came across this article about HDC3020 and HDC3020 Humidity Sensors.

https://www.theengineeringprojects.com/2025/03/hdc3020-and-hdc3020-humidity-sensors.html

The HDC3020 series is from Texas Instruments. It's a digital humidity and temperature sensor, known for high accuracy, reliability, and long-term stability. These sensors incorporate advanced drift correction mechanisms that maintain constant performance over long periods even in harsh or contaminant-rich environments, making it ideal for precision and dependable applications. Did anybody here use these humidity sensors? Considering the performance, are these better than DS18B20, DHT11/22 etc.?

When considering performance I look to the datasheets because I certainly don't have the precision measurement equipment required for real-life experience. But, to add a fly to the ointment, there is a very similar deice, SHT35-DIS from Sensirion to consider also. The only real-life experience I have with it is the commercial humidity/temp meter I have, model 01139M, made by AcuRite corp that contains that Sensirion device. It's still working after almost two years and no battery changes. I took it apart to see what the sensor part is. Otherwise, I wouldn't have had any idea.

Thanks for sharing your experience. What about the price of SHT35-DIS? Where did you purchase it from?
