Isn't that a photo of an Energizer D size Ni-NH battery cell with a C cell inside? Their weights are almost the same and they both have the same 2500mAh capacity which is almost the same as their 2300mAh AA cell! Their AA cell used to be 2500mAh before it became "holds a charge for 1 year".
Energizer used to sell a "deluxe" alkaline AA cell with Titanium in it with a higher price than their ordinary alkaline cell. Their weight and specs were exactly the same. I think there was a manufacturer down their street that used Titanium and a few atoms floated in the window.
