I need to know can SN54CBTD3384 translate bi-directionally (I2C/ other bidirectional data bus). Though its internal diagram appears to be so but it is not mentioned anywhere. Rgds
Yes, it uses a MOSFET switch to prove a 5Ω resistive connection between the two ports when ON, so it can carry a signal in either direction. It would be good if it was stated explicitly in the data sheet that it was a bidirectional switch instead of making the reader infer that fact.
