precisly so if i use 2 n channel moses then the source of one will already be at 12 volts so i will need to apply 24 volts to offset that !
the google searchs just reveal stuff that sources like 100 mA i am trying to build something that will source like 10 amps (at 24 volts) meaning a 12 v drain of 20 amps (10 per mos) this will then be restepped down to more stable values. perhaps with some gating i can create a variable output from like 3.3 to 24 volts by controlling the pulse width now that pulse modulation has been brought in by that IC or i may resign all the controll and there for resolve the simutainious on problem by macking my own control circuitry.

the rest of the circuit that will rereduce it to a stable 12 volts so that i can power a pc so go on and laugh now. but if my idea of using pulse width modulation i should be able to vary it to produce directly 12 volts alrady stable.
