Then try different resistor values! Or use a different simulator (LTspice is a free download from Linear Technology).

Maybe the simulator is wrong. Why don't you build the circuit to see?

Why is the model of your 555 actually a Cmos rail-to-rail 555? The output voltage swing of an ordinary 555 is from about 0.01V to about 3.6V when its supply is 5V and it has no load.

It will cause your circuit to have an output that has pulses, not a perfect square wave.
