I'd like to build a "Power-Manager" which connects to adapters fitted with relays that control 230v computer equipment.

Standard "Power-Managers" you can buy look like that:

I'd like to have a box just like that (illuminated switches), only without 230v outlets but with a 10pin cable (or more), so I don't have to lay 230v cables.

That 10pin cable would then get split and connected to 5 socket adapters (like that: http://www.knx-online-shop.de/out/oxbaseshop/html/0/dyn_images/0/gi_1185_02_th.jpg).

My idea was to use a 12v dc power supply to drive the illuminated switches and the 5 relays. The relays should remain locked to the state they are in, so one can control pcs and printers etc.

The assembled box should look similar to the ones you can buy with the 230v outlets. I just don't like the idea of more 230v cables in my computer room.

Has anyone seen a similar project or has some spare time to draw me a circuit diagram? I'm especially unsure about the relays.
