Relay coil polarity?

Generally DC relays only have a polarity if they have built-in anti-flyback diodes. I don't see any in the spec sheet. So, no.

At times , they have a magnet placed inside(we call polarised relay and was used in telegraph and it is very sensitive)
In case diode is placed inside, it could be checked by diode function with a DMM.

If i drive the coil of the 12V version of this relay from 24V, then is all i have to do is put a 1200R resistor in series with the relay's coil?

ok thanks ,but can anyone in the world buy from farnell Canada?
I've heard of "Newark" in Canada and USA, and often wonder if i can buy from them?, as they appear better stocked

Add relay resistance, and new resistor value. Then calculated current with 24V drive, should not exceed the permitted current of relay as per its datasheet.

perhaps you would be helping by indicating your location. You can well find that I am from Hyderabad, India, without asking , !!
