TL072 Power Supply?

Would a 15V 250mA supply be able to power 8 TL072s if they were powered in parallel? I know they will run ok on 15V but I can't find their current draw?

So I will need to limit the current to 40mA... thanks

You don't need to limit the current. An opamp takes only as much current as it needs. If the opamps are not working hard then each one draws 1.4mA typically or 2.5mA max. Then the total current for 16 opamps is from 22.4mA to 40mA.

Why do you have so many opamps?

It makes a difference what the amplifiers are doing!
Is it driving a load?
What frequency?
If the output of the amplifier is a 1mhz square wave then the current will be more than with a 1khz signal.
You have not told us much.

The opamps will be linked together into a preapm system that provides very little gain however it lets them alter the bass, treble, volume and balance. Also my reasons for using 8 x TL072 instead of 4 x TL074 is just down to availability in my area

Please post a schematic, you shouldn't need 16 op-amps just to do that.

I didn't make these images myself - its a few images from **broken link removed** merged together

You are making an active crossover with tone controls.
Two of the opamps don't do anything and can be removed.
