If you are pulsing the triac for speed control, but I doubt it, motors require special considerations.

Hi.. thanks for the doc, you gave it to me before and thats what i am following.Most Triacs can be triggered by a DC voltage of either polarity. But the current required varies depending on which quadrant it is in at the moment.
