Hello Everyone,

I'm in the market for a as best a quality multimeter as I can find for about 0 t0 60$

A guy is selling some of these Amprobe AM-130 Used Online for 60$ with no Factory Warranty but he has a 7 day money back just pay shipping back to him, he says "It should be calibrated but I know it is still accurate right now." so I'm not sure if this is the way to go, since it is a discontinued meter, I looked online and they retail for around 150-200$ new anybody have an opinion about these meters? Good Bad?

Also How much does multimeter calibration cost if I need it?

It has a 0.12 accuracy range on DC Volts from what i'v learned is very good and a bunch of other good features.

this guy recommends the Extech 330 or Amprobe 220 since this is a Amprobe meter I would guess it's pretty good quality, or should I just go with one of these recommended one's.

Here are some links on this meter

Not buying it from here but you see what it's got in it.

Any Help or Advice on this meter would be appreciated, thanks.

At sixty bucks USD it isn't a bad deal if it is in very good condition (not all beat up) and all ranges and functions work. Amprobe has always made a good meter and they have been at it a long time. As to calibration, I have no clue what a reputable lab would charge to check the calibration of the unit. If you are US located I would run a cal check on it for you for the reasonable cost of free. I would just give it to one of my cal techs and let them run a cal check. Not a problem at all.

Thanks for the advice and offer Ron, still thinking about buying it, it doesn't look beat up to me here are some pics of it from the guy selling it:

It even has a PC interface accessory that I could buy for like 50 bucks to hook up to a computer and I think record the data, not sure what I would use it for but it looks interesting from the user manual.

I'm beginner in electronics so I don't know what cal check is?

It looks to be worth the sixty bucks to me.

A cal check means calibrate it assuming it has a method to calibrate it. What "cal check" implies is check several cardinal points on each range and function against very accurate known standards and note deviations from the true standard value.
