Because you ordered them packed in ones, not packed in 25's

I must admit, I tend to stick the parts list in a spreadsheet with the part numbers, so I always order the same packs (or at least try to).

Unfortunately, RS have a tendency to be out of stock of the ones I want quite a lot - then you have to be extremely careful not to order the wrong ones. I've not ordered them in ones yet, but I have ordered much tinier (thin film) ones by mistake

That product is only available in packs of 1, so there's not alternative.

Is there some specific reason for using Vishay resistors? - there are plenty of others available from RS.

Or go to Farnell for the same resistor in tens, and much cheaper.

Nothing wrong with that. Works with and without daylight saving. Saves that adding (or subtracting) one.

Was at a market recently and a friend of mine bought 3 avocados for $2 (or $0.78 each). Got to the checkout and checkout girl asks how much? My friend says 3 for $4, I say, that can't be right, that's 1.33 each. The check out girl almost faints that I can divide $4 by 3 in my head!!!! I worry for the current generation.

OK, the stonehenge post made me wonder. Built about 1500 BC, mortice and tenon joints in stone. Each stone around 60 tons (statue of liberty = 220 tons). How on earth did stone age man manage that? And why?

Also, the needles of Ramessese weighed ~1000 tons, erected upright by dragging up an earth slope by slaves. If each slave could pull 200kg then somehow they attached 5000 ropes to the stone. This kind of history makes no sense.
