Trigger Circuit

Hi

I am building a voice recognition system, in order to beging sampling the voice at the correct point I need to trigger my signal at a voltage level.

I know I need a comparitor circuit which compares the signal to a certain voltage levels.

But I dont know how to build one.

Please HELP!
