I have a DS-1302 RTC module but how to use it?
I recall Jon Chandler made a vu meter clock but what he used for timing?
Am planning on a clock that has no hands, just LEDs but precision would be nice.

Tracks are normally routed at 45° increments. In cases like this, you can selectv "free angle" from the properties menu on the right to make things easier.

Thanks. Am going to make any corrections as necessary. I have yet to take a close look. The routing was done with the auto-router so yes Am sure some areas need correcting.

Started making corrections and am thinking maybe I made a mistake aligning all the resistors at same anle as the LEDs. Lots of traces in between pads.

I like routing boards to create something esthetically pleasing as well as functional.

Autorouting may connect the points, but it's always a mess.

You can turn off the visibility of each layer if you must take a screenshot buy "exporting" a board offers better results.

Exporting a board in a legible format from EasyEDA.

Output below. Note the image is clear, legible and shows the top and bottom of the board. If both layers aren't included, there's no way to make sense of the board.

This is a work in progress. Please note the tracks are routed as if there is some sense of reason behind them. This starts with some thought when drawing the schematic giving consideration to how the board will be laid out. I haven't prettied up the reference designators yet. Sure, an auto-routed mess may work ok, but it won't be pleasing to the eye.

Thanks. I am reconsidering the auto-router as well as the basic layout. Thinking about this project I realize I forgot to include a crystal. Also need to see how much disfussin through a 1/8" plexglass.
On the full color silkscreen, the EASYEDA pro is required. LOTS of work ahead

I think I finished the pcb design. Had to sub a cap in place of the crystal (needed 5mm lead spacing )
I have several crystals in my collection of parts.
If popcorn wants a board after I have then made I will send him one.

SMH Sigh. EasyEDA has footprints for virtually anything you'd use, just a couple clicks away.

All of your mosfets are screwed up. What does 2 resistors in parallel accomplish? Do you think about what you're drawing?

This diagram shows EXACTLY what you need. No series resistor and a 10k or greater resistor to ground. I know you have refused to believe this in the past, but this works.

Aside from that, I haven't checked your schematic. I don't get paid enough to look at your countless revisions. I will still recommend you ditch the net labels for V+ and ground. Having both will screw you over if you have a typo anywhere.

Do as you wish. Numerous knowledgeable people have explained that the resistor arrangement you have used in the past is wrong.

At any rate your current schematic even has that screwed up.

I've save further advice to "them that appreciates it".

The circuit posted above is EVERYTHING needed.

The circuit in your CURRENT schematic is FLAT OUT WRONG and DOES NOT EVEN SHOW THE LESS THAN IDEAL THING YOU'VE DONE IN THE PAST

Again, do whatever the hell you want.
